People
Fred Raynal, PhD, is the founder and CEO of QUARKSLAB. Previously, he worked 3 years at EADS, including working as a core member of EADS IW, then created the SOGETI ESEC R&D (lab) team he managed for 5 years. He also is founder of the french conference SSTIC and magazine MISC. Beside "founding", he enjoys both technical hacking, information warfare and finding ways to combine both in order to find different (and hopefully better) ways to do information security.
Damien Aumaitre is a senior security researcher. He enjoys hacking and dissecting OS internals. Lately he has been working on a proof of concept of a "ring-1" debugger called virtdbg. An early version of the code is available on google code (http://code.google.com/p/virtdbg/). He also plays with hardware based attacks (DMA) using custom FPGAs.
Guillaume Delugré joined Quarkslab in 2013. He is mostly interested in reverse engineering and exploitation on various systems and architectures. He is also the main developer of Origami, a Ruby framework foranalyzing and crafting malicious PDF documents.
Jérome Gabriac is a junior security researcher specialized in reverse engineering and in cryptographic algorithms analysis within softwares, using Windows operating system.
Alexandre Gazet is a senior security researcher. His interests are mainly focused on reverse engineering, software protections and dynamic binary instrumentation. Lately his research has been focused for one part on hardened binary analysis and deobfuscation using the Metasm framework and for the other part on computers low level security and embedded firmware analysis.
Sébastien Kaczmarek is a senior security researcher skilled in reverse engineering and cryptanalysis. He specialized in software security, malware and low level code analysis on Microsoft platforms. He enjoys studying all execution layers from hardware to software and also analyzing web vulnerabilities. He also likes graphical programming.
André Moulu is a junior security researcher. After many years as pentester, he is working now on vulnerability research and exploitation methods on Unix systems. Lately his research has been focused on Android security.
Sébastien Renaud is a senior security researcher, mainly focusing on reverse engineering, vulnerability research and analysis with an emphasis on the Windows operating system. He enjoys programming tools and dissecting file formats and network protocols.
Kevin Szkudlapski is a junior security researcher working on reverse engineering and low level development. He enjoys studying new architectures and analyses how softwares communicate with hardware. He is the main developer of the medusa disassembler.
